When traveling to Thailand
I was lucky enough to teach English language to the workers in my family’s
factory. However I had to be creative with my teaching methods as I am not
fluent in Thai for example I incorporated flip cards and picture games to help the
workers to understand basic English words. In the near future I would like to
live in Thailand and teach English language, which would require me to obtain a
teaching visa as it is illegal even to volunteer with out a visa or work
permit.
On

Stickman suggest that the
teaching industry is changeling all the time however if you obtain a TEFL
course certificate which you can pay to do online, however if you obtain a
university qualification your salary would be much more.
When researching the term
TEFL its described as a course you can obtain quick and easy to teach abroad.
TEFL:
Teaching English as a Foreign Language – a term that refers to teacher training
programs in EFL. TESL: Teaching English as a Second Language, Canada -
national federation of teachers and providers in Canada. A term that refers to
teacher training programs in ESL (Teflcertificatecourses.com,2016:online)
Stick man suggest that to abstain a good
teaching job you must be a native English speaker have a bachelors degree or
better there was one aspect in which surprised me is the to be white skinned as
it is prefers over any race.
When asking my Thai boyfriend his option about
this racial preface’ he suggested that this is true some what as most Thai people
are constantly trying to lighten their skin its consider healthy looking. As we
try to tan our skins Thai people try to lighten theirs.
When reflecting on the
different methods that can be used applied to teach Ellie suggest that British
approach to learning a new language cannot be simply learnt by using the copy
and repeat method. Suggesting that most British students are failing to
understand the basics of a foreign language, however when comparing TEFL course
The British Council estimates there are 1.55 billion English
learners around the world, and at least 10.2 million English teachers. There are more than 100,000 native English speakers
teaching in China alone.’
Which suggest the best
method to approach is by applying for a TEFL as it is “a key component of triumph” the course helps you to communicate in
lesion and learn a different way to approach your learners It is also helpful
to go to a cultural knowledge induction as some things we think are acceptable
in our culture may not be in others.

By researching the
different aspect, which you need to teach abroad. This has helped me to apply
myself to obtain my future goal one aspect I found helpful was researching is looking
at what people experienced when teaching abroad as it helped me to understand
the positive and negative aspects also the different challenges I would face
when teaching.
